New Session! Fresh Start!

IDC-Oregon is leaving fall behind and looking forward to the upcoming 2012 legislative session. This will be Oregon’s first annual session and we’re excited to hear that the foundation we set last year is holding strong. Your legislators remember us and are signing up to join us for meet and greets throughout the state. As constituents we encourage you to join us at one of our upcoming meet and greets, or schedule your own. We’re here to help you be a voice for the profession, and if you didn’t already know… your legislators really do want to hear from you! Contact us at legislation@idc-oregon.org for more information.

Legis-what?! If you have no idea what we’re talking about, that’s ok! At IDC-Oregon we recognize that the legislative process can be confusing and we’re here to help. We’ll even come to you! As mentioned in our last Press Release we were recently at a Marylhurst University Intro to Interior Design class where we spoke about the proposed Commercial Interior Design licensing bill. We’ve also been participants at IIDA’s student days, attended the ASID conference, and are actively visiting A&D firms for brownbags and roundtable discussions about Commercial Interior Design licensing.
